Rev360 Login and Registration: TaxPro Max User or New Taxpayer?
The correct button depends on whether you already have a taxpayer record—not simply whether you remember your password.
You open Rev360 and immediately see several options.
One says TaxPro Max credentials.
Another says create Rev360 credentials.
There is also login with Rev360 credentials.
Then, somewhere nearby, you see new taxpayer registration.
At this point, it is tempting to click whichever button looks friendliest and hope the portal understands what you meant.
Please do not do that.
The right Rev360 route depends on one simple question:
Do you already have a taxpayer record, or are you genuinely registering for the first time?
This guide explains the difference without turning one login screen into a university course.
Information reviewed on 14 June 2026. Rev360 is being rolled out in phases, so wording, screens and available features may change.
Quick answer
Use this simple guide:
Existing TaxPro Max taxpayer
You know your old credentials
Start with the option to log in using your existing TaxPro Max credentials.
Existing taxpayer
You cannot remember the old credentials
Use the Rev360 credential-creation or account-recovery route shown for existing taxpayers. Do not immediately register as a completely new taxpayer.
Existing Rev360 user
You already created Rev360 credentials
Use the Rev360-credentials login option.
Genuinely new taxpayer
No existing taxpayer registration
Select the new-account route and choose the taxpayer category that matches you or the business.
The main mistake to avoid is treating forgotten credentials as proof that you need a new taxpayer identity.
Those are two different problems.
What is the official Rev360 website?
The official Nigeria Revenue Service taxpayer self-service portal is the official NRS taxpayer self-service portal.
Check the selfservice.nrs.gov.ng domain carefully before entering login information.
TaxCalc.ng is not the Rev360 portal. TaxCalc helps with preparation, calculations, record clarity and deadlines, but it does not:
- issue Rev360 credentials
- reset NRS passwords
- receive NRS tax payments
- request portal OTPs
- submit tax returns through Rev360
If someone claims they need your password or OTP merely to calculate your tax, pause the conversation.
Calculating figures and controlling your government portal account are separate jobs.
Route 1: Log in with TaxPro Max credentials
This route is for an existing taxpayer who previously used TaxPro Max and still knows the relevant login credentials.
The official Rev360 screen currently presents an option for first-time Rev360 visitors to use existing TaxPro Max credentials.
Before trying it, confirm:
- you are using the correct registered email
- you know the current or most recent TaxPro Max password
- the taxpayer record belongs to the correct person or company
- the email account is still accessible
- you are not using credentials belonging to a former consultant or employee
Do not keep trying random passwords until the account becomes another problem.
If the old credentials no longer work, move to the recovery or Rev360 credential-creation route.
Route 2: Create Rev360 credentials for an existing taxpayer
This option is easy to misunderstand.
Creating Rev360 credentials is not necessarily the same as registering a new taxpayer.
The official portal currently presents this route for people who already have a taxpayer relationship but cannot use or remember their TaxPro Max credentials.
Think of it this way:
- Your taxpayer identity is the house.
- Your login credentials are the key.
- Losing the key does not mean you should build a second house beside the first one.
Use this route when:
- the taxpayer already existed on TaxPro Max
- old credentials have been forgotten
- the portal directs the taxpayer to establish Rev360 credentials
- account migration or recovery is required
Have the relevant registered contact details available.
Where the business email belongs to a former staff member or adviser, resolve the account-ownership issue properly rather than passing passwords around informally.
Route 3: Log in with existing Rev360 credentials
Use this option after Rev360 credentials have already been established.
Before assuming the password is wrong, check:
- spelling of the email or username
- accidental spaces
- password-manager entries
- whether Caps Lock is active
- whether you are on the genuine NRS domain
- whether a password reset is already in progress
Do not create another credential set every time the first login attempt fails.
Use the official recovery process where necessary.
Route 4: Register as a new taxpayer
This route is for a person or entity that genuinely needs a new taxpayer registration.
The official registration page currently separates applicants into categories including:
- Corporate
- Individuals
- Non-resident
- Free Trade Zone
Choose the category that reflects the taxpayer’s legal identity.
Corporate
This generally covers businesses and entities incorporated through the Corporate Affairs Commission under the applicable company law framework.
Prepare information such as:
- legal entity name
- CAC registration details
- registered address
- contact details
- authorised representative information
Individuals
This route applies to individuals using the identity information required by the official registration process.
Do not use the individual route merely because one director is completing the registration for a limited company.
The person operating the keyboard and the taxpayer being registered are not always the same legal person.
Non-resident
Use this route where a non-resident person or entity has the relevant business or tax exposure in Nigeria.
Non-resident obligations can become technical quickly. Obtain professional guidance where the correct registration or filing position is uncertain.
Free Trade Zone
Use this only where the entity genuinely operates under the relevant free-trade-zone framework.
Do not select a category because it sounds more favourable.
Existing taxpayer or new taxpayer: how do I know?
You may already be an existing taxpayer if you have any of these:
- previous TaxPro Max access
- a historical TIN or Tax ID
- previous federal tax returns
- NRS or former FIRS payment receipts
- a tax-clearance certificate
- assessments
- WHT credits
- earlier correspondence linked to a taxpayer account
Not remembering the details does not erase the history.
Before registering again, check company records and speak with:
- the company accountant
- the previous finance officer
- the director responsible for tax matters
- the external consultant who handled earlier filings
- the relevant NRS support channel where necessary
What should you prepare before logging in?
Access is only the first step.
Before beginning a filing process, organise:
- correct taxpayer identity
- registered email and phone access
- Tax ID or previous TIN reference
- previous returns
- payment receipts
- WHT credits
- VAT records
- payroll and PAYE records
- sales and expense schedules
- applicable filing period
- relevant deadline
- person authorised to review and approve the filing
A successful login does not automatically mean the business is ready to file.
Common login and registration mistakes
Creating a new taxpayer account because the password is missing
Try the existing-user credential or recovery routes first.
Using a former employee’s personal email
The business may lose access again when that person leaves.
Use a controlled and monitored business contact where the official process permits.
Choosing the wrong taxpayer category
A company, individual and non-resident taxpayer do not automatically follow the same route.
Sharing an OTP with an unknown helper
An OTP is an account-security code, not part of a tax calculation.
Entering credentials on an unofficial website
Confirm the domain before entering anything.
Starting a second registration while the first is incomplete
The official registration page provides an option to continue an existing registration using its registration ID.
Keep that ID safely.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my TaxPro Max credentials on Rev360?
The official Rev360 interface currently provides an option for existing TaxPro Max taxpayers to use their TaxPro Max credentials. Follow the instructions displayed on the official portal. What should I do if I forgot my TaxPro Max password?
Use the existing-taxpayer credential-creation or account-recovery route displayed on Rev360. Do not automatically create a completely new taxpayer registration. Is creating Rev360 credentials the same as becoming a new taxpayer?
No. An existing taxpayer may need new Rev360 login credentials without needing a new taxpayer identity. Can I register a company through the individual route?
Use the category matching the taxpayer’s legal identity. The fact that an individual director is completing the form does not turn a company into an individual taxpayer. Can TaxCalc recover my Rev360 account?
No. TaxCalc does not issue or recover government portal credentials. Use the official NRS process and support channels.Final word
Do not choose your Rev360 route based on which button looks easiest.
Start with your taxpayer history.
If the taxpayer already exists, preserve that identity and use the appropriate login, credential-creation or recovery process.
If the taxpayer is genuinely new, register through the correct category.
One accurate taxpayer record is more useful than two conflicting ones.
